Meet Dr. Brown

I have had the privilege of working as a counselor with  individuals and families for almost 30 years and continue to feel honored to have this privilege.  to work with individuals, couples and families in various life transitions and situations.

Many individuals benefit from support in exploring ways to address things they would like to change or are struggling to accept or understand. Many individuals benefit from support in exploring ways to address things they would like to change or are struggling to accept or understand.

I have studied lifespan transitions and family issues for many years and am a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor through the Association for Play Therapy for more than 26 years. I am also a National Certified Counselor and hold the highest level of counselor licensure in Kansas, Missouri and Washington.

I work with adults, teens, children and families. My experience and training  includes work with late and end of life issues as well as earlier transitions, family issues, life adjustments as well as anxiety and depression.

I counsel children, adolescents, individuals and couples in a variety of life circumstances with a focus on hearts, behaviors, families and kids. I received both a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Masters Degree in Education (Counseling and Guidance). My Doctorate was earned at Idaho State University as a PhD, Counselor Education, Supervision & Counseling.
